Phantom NewPort Trio: The New Frontier of Flexibility in the Vineyard

Prof. Marco Sozzi, from the Department of Land and Agroforestry Systems at the University of Padua, conducted a field trial with our new 3-Row Trailed Sprayer, NewPort Trio, and subsequently published an article in the trade journal *Machine Agricole Domani* (MAD), published by Edizioni l’Informatore Agrario.

The Martignani Phantom NewPort Trio is a pull-type, articulated sprayer designed to ensure maximum operational flexibility for vineyard treatments. The machine allows for simultaneous operation across three rows, adapting to planting spacings ranging from 1.60 to 3.10 meters, while maintaining excellent maneuverability even when turning at the end of the field.

A distinctive feature of the design is the innovative , patented straddle system, consisting of two articulated arms that support the side air conveyors. This solution allows for precise adaptation to different row-to-row widths and maintains a constant height for the distribution components, ensuring uniform and effective treatment.

The inverted “W” configuration reduces the machine’s overall height during operation without compromising performance. At the same time, the working width can be easily adjusted as needed. During transport, the lateral width is reduced to just 1.60 meters, making it easier to move the machine on the road.

From a design standpoint, the Phantom NewPort Trio features an articulated frame: the distribution unit is connected to the tractor’s lift, while a trailed swivel joint connects it to the tank, which has its own axle. The three-position adjustable drawbar also allows for further adaptability to different operating conditions.

Field tests confirm the machine’s high efficiency even in vineyards with dense vegetation, thanks to its ability to ensure effective distribution with reduced product volumes. This solution combines productivity, precision, and flexibility, meeting the needs of modern agriculture.
